When is it safe to travel with a newborn out of the country?

When can one travel with a newborn out of the country and what vaccinations need to be done beforehand? We live in the US and need to travel to see family in Peru. When is it safe to travel with a newborn out of the country?I would definitely talk to your babies Dr about that one. I'm guessing it wont be for a while... you want to play it safe. When is it safe to travel with a newborn out of the country? You can fly as soon as the baby is born and he/she is healthy. I had to travel with my 6 week old and everything was fine. They don't have to be vaccinated. If the baby is breastfed it's even better because the baby has a strong immune system. I flew from Munich to New York. The only reason why we waited so long was because the baby has to have a passport. When is it safe to travel with a newborn out of the country?they say you should wait atleast 3 months before a baby is on an airplane, but as long as he has a passport he should be fine. When is it safe to travel with a newborn out of the country?
Ask your doc. I would say when they get vaccinations at 2 months, so won't get seriously ill.
