What is the difference between an iron and a travel iron?

Can a travel iron run on batteries, or not? travel irons are normally smaller, you can also get a small ironing board for traveling. okay wow, no such thing as an iron that works on "batteries" ( C %26amp; D etc..) there are rechargeable ones but they will not get hot enuf and therefore do not have a "steam" setting.. travel irons tend to be about half the size of a regular iron, if ur going overseas make sure to get the plug adapter, go to ur local radio shack and ask for one.What is the difference between an iron and a travel iron?Travel irons are smaller then normal irons. They come with a small back to put it in to make it more convenient to pack. Also they are obviously cheaper than the normal iron. I don't know if you are able to get battery powered ones, but maybe if you searched online you could find one.What is the difference between an iron and a travel iron?
travel irons are usually better for traveling
