How to travel on a slim budget at Paris?

Hi,

I am actually planning a trip to Paris with my family and I am wondering is there a way to travel without having to spend so much money, e.g. on accomodation, food, etc. The trip does not have to be too fancy as we are used to a very simple lifestyle and my family is not that rich.

Any advice please? It has always been my dream to go to Paris and experience the culture, the people, and most of all, the romantic vibe :)How to travel on a slim budget at Paris?Stay in a hostel to save money on accommodation. Check out this page which is for the Centres Internationaux : http://www.cisp.fr/cisp/index.asp As you can see the price can be as low as 19.30 鈧?per person per night.

Food costs in Paris can vary enormously.

The above mentioned hostel has full meals for 11.20 鈧?

There are plenty of places along the rue Mouffetard in the 5th where three course and a drink for lunch will cost around 10 鈧?

There are sandwich shops and fast food places ranging from McDonalds to Flunch ( a French chain) with inexpensive food.

Buy bread, cheese and meats from the supermarket and make picnic lunches.

Saving money in Paris is no different than saving money anywhere because, in the final analysis, Parisians are not much different in their need to live affordably than people anywhere.
