How do i get a student travel card for Europe?

Can you please tell me about student travel cards.

where can you get them from? how do you get them, do you have to be a student?

how much are they? how long do they last for? what type of things get you get discounts on? where can you use them?

I am a 21 year old traveling to Europe next year. How do i get a student travel card for Europe? The only really internationally recognized student card is the ISIC - the International Student Identity Card. This card is accepted all throughout Europe to get student discounts at places like museums; I used it everywhere from London to small-town Czech Republic. You of course need to be a student to get this, although I suppose it may depend on how well they check at the issuing office where you get the card.

Details on the ISIC are available at http://www.isic.org/ and for details on how and where to get the card, go to http://www.isic.org/student-card/buy-an-鈥?/a>

Since you posted the question in Yahoo Answers Australia, then I will give you the direct link to STA travel, which issues the ISIC card in Australia: http://www.statravel.com.au

Have a great trip!
