Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?

I just recently asked this same question of my cat, and just realized I needed to know for gerbils too! I'll be soon moving from Florida to Indiana, which is a 14 hour drive. I'll be transporting 2 gerbils. Their current habitat is a large aquarium with a screened lid. Could they just travel in this? Or would I have to get something else to put them in? Any other tips for traveling with small animals? They'll be secured in my back seat, so no worries about them sliding around or anything. Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?I think it would be ok for you to travel with them in their cage, so long as your car is a good temperature, there is no way for them to get out and they have food and water. It would probably be less stressful for them also to stay in their own cage.

Edit: If you use a water bottle during travel the water will leak out from the movements of the car, so you will have a couple of wet gerbils. Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?
It's definitely best to keep them in their usual home as they will feel more at home in that.

I never took my gerbils for such a long ride but it should be fine.

Make sure they aren't too hot or thirsty or hungry during the journey. Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?it should be fine. think... the gerbils probaly were in a plane or car for before for dayssss while being transported to the petstore. so they should be fine, they might get kinda nervouse tho so pet/hold them to calm them downIs it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?
Should not be a problem. Just make sure they have a water bottle as a water source not a bowl to keep the water clean, and the bedding should be cleaned before you start your trip.Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?Should be fine. Just check on them every so often. Make sure they have a water bottle not a bowl. Water will lean but not as much as it will if it is in a bowl.Is it safe to travel 14 hours with gerbils?
just make sure they are out of the sun i know this will be hard but if you can provide something that will make it so that the sun isn't so harsh that would help them
