I swear by Rick Steve's books for all European travel, especially how to travel economically. His 2009 Ireland book is on sale now on his website cited below for $13.95. He or someone on his staff actually go to the places in his books and update them often. Also his website, www.ricksteves.com, has good information for most European destinations and a great message board, the Graffiti Wall, where you can search for more info on Ireland from other travelers. Have a great trip and enjoy learning more about travel!
