Is the cheapest way to travel around Europe by bus or by train or by plane?

A friend and I will be traveling from London to Paris, Paris to Berlin and from Berlin to Rome. How do you suggest we should travel during each trip, we're looking for cost efficient ways. We are both 19 years old. We thought maybe bus from london to paris, train from paris to berlin and plane from berlin to rome?

Is it worth it to buy the eurail pass, and if so, what exactly does the pass cover? Will we be paying extra money in additon to what the eurail pass covers? Any options will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.Is the cheapest way to travel around Europe by bus or by train or by plane?if your journey is just to know the capitals, the cheapest way to travel can be by plane, there are very cheap airlines in europe as easyjet, ryanair, airberlin etc.... cheaper than bus or train. for example I am used to travel from bremen to barcelona by plain, it costs about 40,-鈧?as an offer, 120,- by bus and 200,- by train, without offer.

in northern europe you will find a lot of offers for train and bus, so it is completeally impossible to give you an answer without knowing the details and days.

if your want to travel comfortable and want to see something of the continent, go by train with eurail. there you will know lots of eutravellers and stop in funny places you never have imagined before. I did it two times when i was younger.

the bus is just to travel in the interior of some countries in southern europe. eurail covers the south of europe also in mostly tarrifs. in northern europe it is cheaper to take the train. Is the cheapest way to travel around Europe by bus or by train or by plane?I've been living in Europe for nearly 2 years and the cheapest method I've found is by bus. This will take longer than the other travel methods but will typically run you only up to about 70 euros for a round trip. I've gone from Amsterdam - Paris round trip for 70, Amsterdam - Frankfurt for 70, and so on.

Average travel times in northern Europe are usually 5-8 hours.

I use the company Eurolines. Is the cheapest way to travel around Europe by bus or by train or by plane? The cheapest way is definitely walking or hitching a ride. Since you are going to Paris from Berlin, why not go through Belgium, Nederlands as well, they are along the way. Take the train would be better but the rail passes wont come cheap, you have to buy it way in advanced. The cost of the rail pass depends on how many countries you are covering. Is the cheapest way to travel around Europe by bus or by train or by plane?
The Eurail website gives you all the information you need about passes: http://www.eurail.com In addition to the cost of the pass, you will need to pay supplements to reserve seats, but this is only a few Euros. Have a look at the timetables and costs for Paris to Berlin, and Berlin to Rome and compare this to Eurail Passes, point-to-point tickets, and perhaps the cost of flying. Train is always the best way to travel in Europe, you see more and it's far more relaxing than a plane. And if you can book early enough you'll find some great specials. But you don't say how long you'll be in Europe. If your time is limited then flying from Berlin to Rome will probably be worthwhile. Just remember that, even if the flight is cheap, costs to and from the airport can be expensive, it takes time getting to airports, plus you need to be there at least a couple of hours before travelling.
