How does a Canadian citizen acquire a visa to travel to UAE?

Planning a two week trip in Dubai in January, staying with family there. I have read the website over and over again but it is very unclear, and these visa requirements are so new, coming into affect on Jan 2. I just want to be sure of everything before I travel there. How does a Canadian citizen acquire a visa to travel to UAE?Hi Alex,

Since u r a canadian national, there is no need to apply for a vist visa or travel visa to come to uae. Once u come to UAE just produce ur passport to the immigration office and he will stamp u a visa for 15 or 30 days.

Pls visit this link to find which country dont need visa to come to uae:

The applicant needs:

your passport copy + 2 passport pics

his salary certificate/work contract and

evidence of kin

To issue a visit visa is a matter of less than 1 hr without waiting time.

@Nola Guy: From 1st of Jan 2011 Canadians need a visa to enter the UAE. Canada refused to extend Emirates landing permission for years - visas for Canadians are the result/consequence. Please read:
