Can i travel a transit buy purchasing to different air tickets?

From Bucharest to New Delhi. What if i buy a ticket from Bucharest to Munich from Lufthansa and Munich to new Delhi in British air.Is it possible to travel like this without a transit visa. Connection time no more than few Hrs. Or what if i fly the same airlines say Lufthansa but i buy tickets in 2 parts from 2 different agents Bucharest to Munich from Lufthansa and Munich to new Delhi Lufthansa again. Can i travel a transit buy purchasing to different air tickets?First of all if you ask travel question without telling citizenship and status everybody could presume that you hold a Romanian EU passport and could answer: "of course that is possible!".

Based of previous questions you have asked I know that you hold an Indian passport and a Romanian Permis de Sedere temporara. Based on the second document you can transit through Munich airport without a visa provided that you:

鈥?arrive and depart from/to a non-Schengen country

鈥?continue their journey to a third country on a connecting flight within 24 hours

鈥?hold all documents required for their next destination

鈥?have your luggage checked trough to your final destination

鈥?do not leave the airport transit area

If you buy the tickets for Lufthansa flights in two parts you will still get the boarding pass for the second flight leg on check in at Bucharest and can get your luggage checked through. The other part of your question is irrelevant since British Airways does not operate the destination New Delhi from Munich. Should you book a flight through Munich on two different airlines which do not have a luggage check-through co-operation agreement you would need a regular Schengen visa type C for the transit since you would need to go through immigration first before you can pick-up your luggage.
