You could use the Eurail pass only on local FS trains in Rome. A better option is to get a daily, a three-day, or a weekly pass for Rome.
BIG - Integrated Daily Ticket
The day pass can be used for unlimited rides until midnight on the day on which the ticket is validated. It is valid on ATAC buses and trams, COTRAL buses in the city limits, plus the metro and COTRAL and FS trains within the city. The ticket must be validated when you first use it and it must be kept for the duration of any journey. This ticket doesn't cover travel to Fiumicino Airport. It costs 鈧?.
BTI - Integrated Tourist Ticket
The BTI - Integrated Tourist Ticket is a three day version of the above ticket for 鈧?1.
CIS - Integrated Weekly Pass
The CIS - Intergrated Weekly Pass is a weekly version of the above ticket for 鈧?6.

The passes for Rome can be bought at the atac ticket office and several newspaper and tobacco shops at the Roma Termini train station at which you arrive from Naples. Just look for the atac sign.
