What document is required by an indian to travel in nepal?

I am an indian citizen planning to visit nepal next week as a traveller. My Voter Identity Card as well as my PAN Card were stolen in October2009. An FIR was lodged at that time in the local police station. However I have not yet received duplicate copies of the documents . What other document can ensure a smooth and hassle free travel in the country? Is production of my Ration Card at the boarder enough for the purpose?What document is required by an indian to travel in nepal?Your can go there without anything, means without any special identity paper like visa or any such.

Only thing they may ask you for Photo Identity Proof and address Proof - such as Passport, driving license, income tax Pan card, Voter's ID, Photo credit card etc. Any one will do as now-a-days due to terrorist activities some time they ask this. u must have atleast one of above.What document is required by an indian to travel in nepal?Nepal Tourism Year 2011

What document is required by an indian to travel in nepal?No passport is needed. You need an ID such as citizenship certificate or certificate issued by local government. Driving license is not accepted. Nepali people in India and Indian citizen in Nepal can visit hassle free since we have a treaty in 1950 known as friendship treaty so no passport is needed.
