Assignments can pay anything from a couple of hundred for a short local shoot to many thousands for a long job at the other side of the world.



Most can speak 2-3 languages, apart from that there are no special educational requirements.

Equipment varies but 2-3 good camera bodies with a selection of lenses from super-wide through to telephoto plus portable flash and all the necessary accessories. (about 50k worth in total in my case).How much education is needed to become a travel photographer?I don't think if you really like the job you are just concerned about its salary . You have so many opportunities like working for a magazine or post your photographs to TV stations .Maybe you have caught an exciting scence that you can participate a competition about photography .



The job doesn't call on high education leval.What you need is a camera with great functions and a heart that love the world. Most importantly,keep a curiousity every now and then .
